Hey all,

I am calling out to everyone modded or not to post your numbers in one post. I see that there are many individual dyno posts for our 5 series including myself, but there is no posts with comparisons. I see so many about Jb4's, Afe scorcher, racechip, and custom tunes I think it would be cool to have this info in one collective post. Especially since there not many of us out there modding 5ers.

The post should include the following
- year
- model
- engine
- tune and stage
- other mods (CP, DP, FMIC, Sprint Booster, etc)
- WHP
- WTQ
- image of dyno*
- image of vehicle*

So here it goes (see is I can avoid getting flamed)

- 2011
- 535
- N55
- GSR Technik Stage 1
- M5 front sway bar
- 650i rear sway bar
- WHP 321
- WTQ 417

Its basically bench racing with a ton of numbers that arent at all comparable because youre taking a tuning device (dyno) and trying to create a realistic database on something that can vary up to 20% from dyno to dyno due to location, temperature, altitude, air quality, the dyno itself/age/condition of the dyno, etc. It will also create a huge dick measuring contest with tons of excuses why car A didnt beat car B but should have because in a race it beat car C which beat car D who had the same mods.

At least it will be entertaining to watch, but more or less would turn into the kind of thread you would expect to see on a mustang or camaro forum where 15 year olds argue about whos faster based on youtube videos, fictional non existant cars with non existant mods all while filled with "it coulds", "what ifs" and "it will someday". Not to mention I think about 2% of this board has actually been to a dyno or a track with their car instead of using some sort of electronic measuring device, or a stopwatch for 0-60

On a side note, good looking car and nice numbers!

I don't get it, if you don't like the idea, don't post on the thread. I think this is a great idea and will be posting numbers once it cools down in NYC.

Yeah I didn't respond because I wanted it be about numbers not a forum debate wether or not it should be posted.

Yes they're just numbers we know that, but it's still fun. Lesson here; don't be a bummer.

Here are stock numbers:
277 rwhp@ 6100 rpm
283 rwtq@ 4350 rpm

The reason I don't like threads like that are they turn into dick measuring contests using something that isn't comparable to something else. To keep the dick comparison going, its the same as saying my dick is bigger because the girl I was just with said so, and then you saying no, mine is bigger because the girl I was with just said so.

In the end the only way to settle it is if you're with the same girl at the same time and whip it out to measure.

Good idea BMW Doubles! It would give an idea to people who want to mod the performance side and see what dyno results from different products. What's does this have to do with a pissing contest? don't like the topic click on something else! some people Maybe just wanna go with a simple tune and would like to know what people who have dyno'd got? Maybe with DP's/CP's? I think this is as great topic!

Don't get me wrong, I think posting dynos to show the gains from a tune, mods etc is GREAT, and I love build threads that show the differences... but ive been in the automotive world for about 18 years now, built some insanely fast cars (for myself and literally thousands of others, some in the 4 digit horsepower area) but one thing I ALWAYS see once you start posting any sort of database is poor sportsmanship and competition.... this then brings about excuses, it was X shops fault my car didn't dyno well, it was hot out, person XYZ cheated and used dyno tricks etc.

Basically I like to see before and after dynos on the same dyno... thats PROOF of something making power, a power difference etc, what I dislike though is people using dynos to measure who is better when they aren't the same dyno, area etc. Lets face it, other than about 6 people on here, most wont ever see a race track, seldom few go to a dyno, and most are good sports about it, but I promise you now, some will come out of the woodwork when you start comparing people against each other. The insecure car enthusiast comes out, trash talking starts, and this turns into a camaro/mustang forum with a bunch of 15 years olds calling names.

Then again, I'm probably going to be the dickhead slapping reality into most of them anyway, and its been slow on here, so Game On ?

Had to get my point across... the car community as a whole is typically a more insecure group (not all, just quite a few, and not specifically BMW, just cars in general), and any time competition comes into play, or someone makes more power than someone else, fights start. I wont go to car events very often anymore because thats how it usually turns out instead of everyone having fun, enjoying cars and actually happy when other people do well.

Cylinders aren't everything. It's all about dyno numbers and derailing threads.

Did you feel a difference with the intake? When I had my 535i that was on the list of stuff to do but ended up trading it for my 550i

Healthy increase in the lower band. Yeah I'm also interested in your thoughts about the product. I was skeptical about the companies claims.

Just for the record who ever finds dyno numbers subjective. Yes in fact they are for reasons you can look up on another thread.

The point I was trying to make here was a high level view of what's available to us in the F10 N55 world in one collective post. Since there seems to be growing support for us when before there was only a few options I thought it would nice to have a thread to help future enthusiast. A snapshot in time if you will.

We still got love for you @FenixMike

Mike is right, about the dyno thing. Its just a fact, but there is nothing wrong with this tread and getting basic dyno numbers from all over the world.

If I had a 535i, i'd join the convo
