How to fix oil leaking on valve cover from vent pipe

I replaced the valve cover on my 2013 535i and things turned out good. I had no more oil leaking on the cat. The other day I check I noticed that there is oil, (very small amount) leaking where the vent tube connect from the black plastic down pipe to the valve cover. This is the very first tube from the front. When I replace the valve cover I also replaced the vent tube. There is a ¼ or 1/8 gap when I connect the vent pipe to the valve cover. I tried just about everything to close that gap but it wouldn’t go any further. The little clips are all in place and appear to be locked in place. Anyone dealt with this problem and what is the trick to getting it on to stop the leak.

That's odd. It should just pull in all the way until the 4 prongs clip in. My first thought would be, did you use BMW parts for this or aftermarket ones? or 1 component is BMW and the other is aftermarket?
