I have just bought my wife an F10 which arrives October 24th and in a couple of weeks I would love to be able to mod it a little.

All the best,

Sam,

1. Active Cruise Control requires more hardware than just the 'camera unit in the rear view mirror'. Active Cruise also requires sensors in the front (mounted inside the front grill) - so coding alone will not solve this.

2. I live in Basingstoke and work in Winchester. You are more than welcome to come to B'stoke on weekends or evenings and to W'chester on weekdays. I am quite happy to guide you through the basic steps and help you through the learning curve.
I am out of the country until 10th Nov... but you are more than welcome to come in any day after that.

As an aside, the LCA works well when the car is approaching in your blind spot on the drivers side, but is a pain when you overtake someone as you need to have a very large gap before you can pull in or risk loosing the feeling in your fingertips.
Fairly easy to do as you have the hardware already...

Where do you live? I am based in Basingstoke/Winchester (Hampshire) area, so if you are willing to drive by, I can do this for you.
Else, if you are happy to code, I can send you the parameters to modify.

I do not have LCA, so cannot comment on the feature.

I live in South Hams, Devon but have a daughter in Alton. Perhaps I could make an arrangement to see you on one of my visits up there. I note from one of your other posts that you will be away until mid November.

Could I pm you when I'm next up there?

You are more than welcome. PM me closer to the time and we can setup something. I forgot to mention that SLI coding has not been proven yet - we can try but not sure if we can get it to work. LDW should not be an issue as it has been done before and is well documented...

Hi GSPANNU, can you tell me if you need to have access to OBD if you want to align the front wheels?

I'm busy this week (until the weekend) but can do sometime next week. I'm getting my new F10 on Tue, then off to get it professionally detailed.

Next week, can do either in Winchester or in Basingstoke - will figure a date/ time closer to date.

Hi pannu. Just founnd since last time I spoke that there is a uk forum

Just wondering whether you'd know if my boot would close off the key? My car does have the electric mirrors if that helps.

Still waiting for a pal of mine to do the drls he says he has the lead and the software but is saying the software takes time to get sorted due to it being corrupt I think he said.

Did you say if and when I get my drls done that they can be coded to be brighter? Mine are the halogens.
Thanks in advance.

I have seen reports where it has worked (i.e. become brighter) and others where the value was already set to 100% (so no change). This can only be verified by actually trying to code the value.]
Thanks in advance.

OK. How do you close your boot-lid. Do you slam it shut or do you close it using the button on the inside of the boot handle?

Do you have any of the buttons in your boot (Photo 1 & Photo 2). If yes, then your car can be coded to open/close boot lid using the key-fob; otherwise no.

Comfort Access - This is a feature that lets you open/lock doors, etc.. without using the key-fob. The key-fob can stay in your pocket and you just press on the door handle to open/lock. Does you door handle look like Photo 3. If yes, you have Comfort Access else No.

Not really any problem. Shawn is the best source for the latest files and also the most clued up on all aspects of coding.

That's great news. I will send you a PM after this post regarding the token. As for what to code, here are somethings that I have tried....

- Auto Start/Stop
- DRLs
- Enabling Rear lights as DRL
- Including Fogs in Welcome Lights
- Comfort Closing Mirrors Time
- Comfort Opening Windows Time
- Radio Auto Off on Door Open
- Boot Lid Close from Driver Button (Power boot lid)
- Reverse Dipping Mirror Angle
- High Beam Auto-Activation
- Remove Handbrake limitation for User Manual
- Route Preview (Route Simulation/ Section wise list) enable
- Steering Vibration Alert (increase intensity)
- Phone Ringtone
- Enable Sports Display
- Developer Menu Item enable
- Blinker in Head Up Display
- Increase BMW Assist Message count
- Automatic Headlights sensitivity
- SatNav current Position
- Acoustic Signal on Lock/Unlock

Good luck.
