Driving assistant plus

My father has ordered a 520d touring with xDrive and driving assistant plus. Delivery in a few weeks.

When you have that package combined with xDrive, you can't get the steering support, but is it possible to enable it by coding?

I researched a bit for the US spec cars, I believe it comes down to the XDrive uses hydraulic steering vs electric of RWD.

I see, that can explain why it doesn't work with xdrive
