Question winshield wipers jump a little from rest when turning car off

Does anyone else experience this?

Yes, I suspect it has something to do with helping to avoid the wipers freezing to the base of the windshield. I think there is some heat at the base of the windshield.

I've seen mine do that too a couple of times. Now I'm going to pay more attention to what the conditions were prior to shut down.

Exactly. It's to avoid the wiper blades setting on the downward motion and then "jump" against the windscreen when going up the windscreen next time the wipers are activated.
