What exactly is happening? It appears that the car is idling, and the driver is not wearing his/her seatbelt

ok, didn't know what the black dash was meant to look like. Is it always like this or intermittently? Take it to the dealer

Its funny how everything in the car is connected to one central computer, in fact totally dependent on it yet there is no hardware "reset" button. That would be so useful in situations like these and so many other software-related issues popping up now and then on the forum.
Turning the ignition on/off is just like switching your home computer off without proper shutdown, I'd assume. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. It would so awesome if the BMW-controlling software's code was released as open-source, imagine the possibilities!
