Does this only happen to me?
Every time I leave the car wash and no matter how much they use air to dry it out water/soap will end up on my wend shield coming from the front (lights and grill). And the worst part if you don't clean the wend shield immediately it'll stick and won't be easy to remove. I'm sure there's no fix for this but just wanted to vent off.

After you wash the car, have a micro fiber cloth handy. Dry the mirrors and windows, then open the hood/door jams/trunk/gas lid to wipe dry (especially the grille, where the water goes to your "wind" shield when you're driving).

I agree with the 'take a cloth with you' solution.... Or you can use paper towel from the garage forecourt...
Best thing however is to take a chamois cloth with you, very quick and far more effective.... But you shouldn't have as much soap as you say... seem like the carwash program is a bit wonky, try another one and see if they have more water on the rinse cycle
