Hi everyone, so I have had my 2012 f10 535 m Sport for almost 5 years now. Bought the car with 42,000 miles now have over 160k on the clock. My car is out a warrant so I m
looking in the next couple of months to upgrade to either a G30 or G11. I really want G30 540 m sport. I love the 5 series this would be my third 5 series but the budget I want to be in I see more 530 that 540s and I really don’t like 4 cylinders. My N55 has been so good to me and I hear nothing but great things about the B58. So I am asking is the G11 740 a good upgrade because I can get one for a similar price as the G30 with the same miles and of course a warrant or certified through bmw like my F10.

I still have a 2014 F10 535i sitting in the garage next to our 2019 G30 540i; they are both m-sports. They are, to me, different. I really like the F10, but the G30 is a bit more refined. I bought it CPO and over the last year and a half plus I've put on about 14K miles. There are things I really don't like (the elimination of the temp wheel, the white instrument cluster, missing info in the cluster and that most of the selections are menu driven), but overall I would rather take the G30 than the F10. The interior is better and on a road trip (we've only taken one) the mpg is better.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with the G30.
