No sport+ in my car

I am not sure if this is normal but my car doesn't have sport+ mode in dynamic driving selection. It has only Eco pro, comfort and sport.

I have m sport package w/o sport auto ($500 option). Could it be the reason?

I test drove a basic non sport 3 series GT but it did have Sport+ option.

Strange. Any advise. Thanks.

No, you also get Sport+ with DHP.

I think it may vary by year also. Mine has SAT and DDC but not the full DHP and I have Eco Pro, Comfort+, Comfort, Sport, and Sport +.

From the LCI this year you are not able to order the SAT with 518d, 520d and 520i (but you can get paddles with the ordinary AT), and thus you won´t get the Sport+. But would you still get Sport+ if you order EDC with this step-in models?

I don't know; I would think likely so. In the US market, at least, Sport+ is nothing more than Sport mode with the added suppression of DSC -- and all the cars have a separate switch for that, so the Sport+ mode isn't anything special, as far as I can see.

From my experience Sport + seems to downshift and up shift more aggressively. Steering also seems to increase weight as well. On a DDC car the shock tuning seems to change as well over Sport. Lots of "seems" in there; this has been discussed before in detail but I don't think we ever came to a consensus.

Yeah, I don't feel like I'm missing anything that I would ever use anyway.

I don't sense any changes in steering, throttle, gearbox, or suspension in my 2011 535i, when switching from Sport to Sport+. I've SAT and Adaptive Drive.

Only when the drivetrain is left unchecked, does Sport+ change the configuration from the Sport setting, as it puts the gearbox into the sport program.

If you're in sport+ and manual gear mode, it will not shift up even if you're on the engine rev limiter.

Yes you get Sport+ with EDC in the 520d. I have that on my car.

My previous F11 520d pre-LCI had the sports auto and there is quite a difference between the two gearboxes. I would still have wanted the sports auto in my new car.

Sport+ turns off DSC, turns on DTC, and as stated above turns off the automatic upshifts in manual mode. In 2014 it's also used for launch control.
