Changing LCI chrome side markers to brushed finish?

Just picked up our 535xi Modern Line and since it has the brushed aluminum window trim, I feel like the chrome side markers would look a lot better if they had a brushed finish like the window and bumper trim. Anyone know of a way to change the finish other than using sand paper or a Scotchbrite pad? Maybe a satin clear enamel?

You can get them wrapped in a brushed aluminum color. This way if your not happy it's reversible.
