How safe is BMS tune? Couple questions

I understand it's a piggyback install so I can remove when going to dealer.
1. How easy is it to remove for someone who has reasonably good mechanical skills?
2. I am fairly certain it will void the warranty... esp on a lease....?
3. How 'safe' is it on the engine? Are there ANY reports of engine failure believed to be caused by the BMS tune?

Thanks.

1. 15 mins 1st time and 5-10 other times.
2. That's why we take it off before going to dealer.
3. Ive been Setting records in my car with BMS for 11k miles now and no issues i drive my car very hard.... which means oil should be changed more often.

The Stage1 tune goes in and out pretty easily. The install guide is on BMS' site if you want to review it ahead of time. Gains are modest and well within the motors safety range.

The N63tu tune takes less then 1 Min to take off or put on. It's simple. Easier then the n63 boxes.

Why the price jump for the tu motor?

because the previous versions sold did not work.. so now BMS has to ship the new ones and take in the old ones... so i guess they are recovering the loss.

Im pretty sure that also the TU tune adds power almost or more than the stage 2 Reg n63 tune.

So it costs more.. not sure if that is the reason it costs more though.

Nothing to do w/ power Has to do with more development cost per BB's comment. Yes it does make the same/more than S2 for the reg N63 will make, as per the hardware and ecu changes in the TU.

It uses a similar tune as the BMW N18 motor found in the MINI Cooper S. Only one for each bank/DME. Cost is higher as the cost of production was higher as was the development time.

Cost is higher because you are basically buying two mini cooper tunes (hardware) for the N63TU motor now.
