Auto Start-Stop memory

I've had my 2016 535i for about 18 months. Since I don't like auto start-stop I bought an onboard port dongle for use with Bimmercode to code it. But I never got around to doing it (maybe too scared). Anyway, my car has now started to remember the disable setting of auto start-stop, so I dont need to code it anymore. It didnt do it all of a sudden, but progressively over time.

Is that normal?

2014-2016 models will default to the last setting. If you change driving modes next to the shifter to eco, it will automatically turn it back on as well.

My 2012 remembers last setting for auto start stop . I believe there was some change that required older cars to be updated.

My 2012 535i did not remember. I had to code it. Once coded, it stayed that way.

If the sunshine state is Florida, maybe you bought my 2012

Wait...WHAT?

You purchased the Bimmercode app and a dongle to code your car and you've NEVER used it?
