so far, almost everyone that i've talk to, they said don't waist the money and save some headache.

so the got damn N63 engine is a joke, now you can get a 2011 - 2013 for about $17,000 - $26,000 and it was once cost $82,000.00 WTF is BMW doing>>? F10 value is dropping like hot shit pooping from baby!

don't get me wrong, i like BMW, i like how the f10 looks, but when you make a mistake buying a car on it first production, it really mess up your bank. the 550i cause lot of issues...from the time I had my car till now, so far the bills cost to maintenance is well over $6,000.00 I should of buy the cpo warranty after my factory warranty when out. oh well, too late for that shit... as of right now, my car has 62,000 miles. N63 is a fucking time bomb, it can go kaaboom anytime. i've been stranded on the hwy numerous time, ton of malfunction and merry christmas to my dash instrument.... No wonder ton of them are being recall, and lemon buy back.

N63

Yea MSRP for my 2011 550i was like 72k, I bought it for 42k with 15k miles, now its worth in trade in like 18-20k if I beg the dealership. Crazy ... makes me not wanna keep cars longer than a year before their value just insanely go down.

Actually the first year is probably the year where it depreciates the most. You think our resale value is bad, check out the S class! This is how it typically works. Unless you buy an exotic, the more you spend the more it will depreciate.

well is all come down to the years and the milleage... any cars will depreciates as time goes by.... only classic car survive at this point. As new car begin in production, old cars is dramatically depreciates it values.

Sedan, suv and truck is most likely to get depreciates faster than sport cars. BMW f10 especially the 550i with the old N63 is pretty bad, it depreciates value faster than a Honda civic.

BMWfor it value...

Obviously. Honda Civic is one of the least depreciating cars out there. Cars are not investments. In general, German luxury cars have some of the worst resale values. They are easily replaceable, especially when new models are out. No one is going to pay 40K for a 6 year old car without a warranty when the new model is available for 15-20k more. That's why they depreciate so that BMW can get you into a new one.

I like my n63intake.com intakes, looks great had a bad ass sound till I installed DPs and M5 CP exhaust. luckily got them used for around 700 and bought the upgrade filters and Sergey painted them black for me. not the baddest sounding car in the forum but it is good enough
but that are a pain to install on the TU because of the dual ECMs. the drivers side is tighter than a... I want to install mu Dinan intercoolers but I have to dent the pipe in to fit the larger intercooler. I think there are pics of it on my profile. And yes after a long highway drive I get a bank 2 running not efficient hard fault that I have to clear with a tool.

Isn't that Sergey's early prototype? I'm almost 100% that those are the early stage production of the N63intakes

UPDATE: yup those are the prototypes

I am happy with the current design, I would not like to loose the radiator support bars. And I don't think that would work with the TU due to the 2 DMEs taking a crap ton of room up on the drivers side.

I have a N63 no TU for me unfortunately. I like that design better, wonder if I can ask him to remake that for me. I careless about the radiator support, it doesn't do much for me anyway.

it will if God forbid you get in a front end collision, those supports are a integral part of your front end structural integrity.

yeah, the sub frame on the bottom is the main support, the radiator bar or pillar just an extra support on the top. I'm not too worry about it, if you ever get into a front end collusion, it doesn't matter how many strut bar or radiator support you have, you still gonna hit hard buddy. The M5 do not use the radiator support. But thanks for your concern, as far as you look where you're going then you shouldn't be too worry about hitting anything or a front end collusion.

the M5 haves some Suttle differences, but you are also correct. but for me I like not to eliminate structural things that may save my life in a crappy accident, I live south suburbs of Chicago and I drive I-80 alot, last Wednesday there was 3 accidents within 4 miles. So I am confident in my driving ability but there are dumb asses out there.

lots of miss information by you on this thread... i told you that this design that you originally posted gave me codes and people didn't like not having radiator support.
Not even once i have told you that the current design gives any errors. You asked me to send you my turbo bracket so you can make your own intake from turbos up and i told you i don't have them anymore and i had code issues with that design.

That being out the way, intakes do not cause any codes but if you have oil baked up inside you intake manifolds it will throw codes on n63 intakes or stock intake sooner or later.

In regards to 550Reasons mentioning their friend has lots of codes, can you PM me their name ? was it silversufer ?
because i help every single person figure out their issues and all of the time it's not intake related at all.

Definitely wasn't me. You've taken care of me and answered every question everytime I had an issue, even ones that weren't intake related. I have nothing negative to say about n63intakes.
