Sport Setting

After reading a few threads I began to wonder if driving
around in Sport continually puts undue wear and tear
or shorten the life of the engine? Or is it the way the car is
designed and perfectly fine to do so?

Thanks.

I've never worried about it.

No no stop doing that! You're engine will eventually fall out! I've read dozens of threads on this!

Nope.

And honestly, according to one of the articles I read about the cause of the CCP on our 550s is the fact the engines weren't revving often enough over 3000rpm. I drive in Sport mode all the time. You're barely scratching the surface if you don't.
