Holdup at the Port Huneme VPC?

Sales manager called VPC in NJ and confirmed that they are being held up for "fuel system retrofit" of some sort and that they are doing the sold vehicles first. He said that it should be done in a couple of days then scheduled for transporter. This confirms the fuel system sensor reports. Let's hope it goes quickly.

Interesting. I have a 2011 335i that's already been released to the carrier (as of Friday). Any idea if this is specifically related to the 535i or if it pertains to all of the N55-powered cars? What was your build week? Mine was built in the first week of May prior to my 5/25 ED pickup date.

Interesting... it's apparently an issue with the new F10s. Your E90 shouldn't be affected by this.

Great out dated software, cars pull to the right, and a fuel problem.

If the M Package comes out in the US for Sept. I am going to lose it!

I've been in CA on vacation for 2 weeks. My biggest concern was not being able to pick it up when it arrived... I assumed a week after NJ arrival...
My father was able to sell my 2001 Volvo while I've been gone... Now my biggest concern is how long I will have to pay for a rental to get to work after I return tomorrow.

This stinks, but actually I would rather they fix probs before they affect me... Just don't understand the "secrecy"...

My sales chap is promising me a "full update tomorrow" (Wed). Hoping I have it in my hands (under my foot, technically) by this weekend. This is pretty crazy I tell you.

I agree with SD535 – would much rather have this taken care of before I take possession of the vehicle.

To BMWNA: It’s called public relations 101. Don’t keep people guessing as it diminishes brand equity, and people will fill in the void with something much worse than the “polished truth”. At very least give us an ETA for an ETA so us folks can plan accordingly.

Has anyone received a 535i yet that showed up at the NJ dock May 7th or later? I wonder how long they will be held at VPC for fuel system problem before we get them. I did not get a sense that the sales mgr at dealership actually knew the schedule. Could be few days or weeks.

Mine was here the 9th and on a truck today for NJ. Will pick up tomorrow. I was told all sold cars will get the fix first. Hope that helps.

Scott, what is unclear is if the 335's were affected by the fuel system issue. Hopefully our 5's are right behind yours...

Well, my 335i was dropped off at my dealer yesterday after only a couple days in the VDC and a couple days waiting for a truck, so whatever the hold-up is, it would appear that it doesn't impact 3er's with the N55. Seems weird, because I would assume that all N55-powered cars would have similar, if not identical, fuel system architectures. Of course, the 5er is built in a plant that doesn't build 3er's, so maybe that has something to do with it, too.

Scott, maybe your signature information is incorrect... it reads "11 F10 335". Are 335's considered F10's? If not and this is a typo and you actually have a 535 coming that got on a truck today that is potentially good news for the rest of us...

Yes it was sorry. I stopped by the dealer and my f10 535 was in. I am in love lol. Hope you guys get yours soon. I am picking up tomorrow. CB looks much better in person then in pics. I am so glad I ordered the black headliner looks sick!

just got word that i'm gonna have my F10 on Tuesday (7/27). hopefully earlier, but no later than Tue.

Awesome- well, for whatever it's worth. Better late (and fixed) than never, right?

Congrats on getting a 528 though. I'll bet it's one of the first few on US soil.

My car made it to Bremerhaven in record time and should be on the boat tomorrow (7/23).

According to BMW, the only holdup would be due to customs...
