Autobild previews more of the G30 5 Series

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Autobild Returns with a closer to the point almost accurate look at the G30 needs more edge around the headlights to make them sharper but the rear is accurate as is some of the surface details illustrated.
As the design language from the Vision Future Luxury concept starts to filter through to the mainstream portfolio.

wow seems like bmw is starting go super angular while Mercedes is going super curvy!

Really dig the front but the back... mhhhh its nice but looks more 3 series ish. The current f10 backlights are pretty boss, kinda 7 series feel to it.

Umm, the rear looks like the Honda Civic. :-/ And the headlights merging with the grille looks terrible. Bumper vents are 2015 Hyundai Sonata-ish.

BMW seems to have found itself stuck in a corner when it comes to design. There's only so much one can do with kidney grills and the Hoff kink.

I'm so happy they fixed the hood cut line where it meets the front bumper. That's a huge improvement in it's own right. The rest looks a bit soft but, I'm sure the M sport will give a good dose of sportiness.

Don't get too excited yet, looks to be a render to me.

exactly. i hope that random cutline above the headlights doesnt make it to production. that looks awful. the rear is a mix between the 4 and the 6.. so i guess it makes sense its the 5. i dont like the lower bumper on the front and hopefully the rear has functional exhaust tips and not just trim to mimic it.

it really just looks like another LCI of the f10 to me.

Isn't it a bit early for this? Doesn't the normal lifecycle mean 2018 will be the next body style for the 5 series?

Love the rear, dislike the front. The headlights lack flow.

It doesn't exactly address your statement (yes, car models keep moving up in size and market), but all future BMW RWD cars, starting with the G30 5-series, will be built on the same platform.

Finally!!!

They figured out the line across the hood was hideous

Can we hope the next 3 series will follow suit?
