Whats a real price for a 2011 550ix

Hello,

I've sold earlier this year my E90 M3, now I'm back in the market for another car...

I guess I nailed it down to the 550ix but the prices seem to be pretty inflated...

Dealers asking for 2011 models with about 10k miles $7k-9k below retail...

Whats wrong with that?

Where is the 20-25% depreciation within the first year?

I'm looking for:

550ix
White
Less than 15k miles
Black nappa leather
Fully loaded (all packages)

minus night vision

What would be a fair price for it?

I've seen some at dealer sites but they were all in the $70k range....retail would be about $79k...

Thanks in advance

Alex

Do you always buy used cars?, if yes then you better wait for 2 more years for the prices to deflate

If you bought it ED you would pay about $65K for a 2011 550xi with the packages.

thanks for the info.

I was under the impression that ED saves you about 7%-8%....
If the retail price of the car is $80k, that would be about $73k via ED....

Please explain.

Thanks

That's the published ED price discount. The actual discount depends on where you buy it. For instance, in Northern VA dealers will not discount lower 7-8%. However, you can buy it in Chicago for something better. My 2011 550xi list price was $73K and I paid $62K with the $1K BWM CCA rebate included.

Hmm. Thanks Russ! That I didn't know they do Can you list the name of the dealer you went through? I'm finally ready to purchase in February myself.

True ED invoice should be at about
14% off base MSRP + 9% off options MSRP = your ED invoice.

I am curious to know why they offer a lower price for ED?

Hey, funny, I'm in Bloomfield, MI with an M3 sedan. I'm starting to search for a used 550/535i and having the same issue. Prices seem to be a bit high for 2011's at this point.... Come spring 2012 I'm sure they'll take a dip.

Did you consider a 09 M5? those prices seem to be a bit high as well. You know a year from now those are going to get hit hard.

I may just hang on to my M3 for another year, if I cant find a good deal.

Hello,

since I never realy appreciated the E60 model, I did not consider the 09 M5...I'm sure its a great car but I could not fall in love with the design of the car....the F10 is imho a much better fitting package...

Well, after countless hrs. of searching THE bargain I gave up, there aren't any....
I contacted one of the forums dealers and here we go, I could buy a fully loaded F10 brand new with ED for the same price as a used ones with 10k miles on it but not equipped as I want....

So I'm pretty certain I will pull the trigger on a brand new 550i and do ED....

You may want to look into this route as well.

All the best

Yup, I did ED on a 330i in 2005. Incredible experience, just make sure you get $1k over invoice. You probably will have to go out of state, the dealers here will laugh you out the door for even suggesting such a price.

I was offered $600 over invoice, currently are 2 x $1000 incentives available as well.

US MSRP is $87,425
Quoted ED price is $76,300
minus $2000 incentive
= $74,300

I would do ED, once it is in the US I would pick it up at the performance center in SC and drive it home....
