Real simple kyheang12! All you have to do is take a blow dryer and warm up the OEM reflector for about 5 minutes because it's getting a little colder now in Socal. ONce you get it warmed up just push inwards with your thumbs and it should just pop off. You need to remove once screw inside the wheels well to remove it then from there install new painted reflectors. Took me about 5 minutes per reflector w/o heating it because I did it in the summertime.

i havent, i had my roof and rear wrapped over the weekend, and switched the grills,
gonna go back and finish the wrapping at Longs on Wednesday since he didnt have enough materials for the strips that goes around the roof and might just ask him to swap it out for me.

just did it at my garage! super easy just like wut lacster said!
two bolts in the wheel well, stick ur hands in and push hard on it inwards.
its held on by 3m on the sides of it.
would definately be easier with blow dryer to heat it up a little, but i jus tused force haha.
looks much cleaner now with painted side markers!

Hmm... I ran into a problem. How did you guys manage to take out the bolts? Did you have to take off the wheel first? or is there a tool for that job? And I got another question, do you know where I can get painted back bumper reflector? I looked at Jlevisw but it looked like they don't carry those.

Start your car and turn the wheel to the right and left to get to the screws.

You have a black F10 so you can send to piant shop or just vinyl it which would be easier

why are you guys taking out wheel bolts? For the front reflectors all you have to do is pull out the lower mesh part, unscrew the foglight, heatup old reflector with hairdryer and push old reflector from outside, then install new reflector from inside and reassemble car.

Not the bolts on the wheels Raptor. There two small bolts/screws attaching the wheel well cover to get to the reflector after removal. It's 100x easier to get to then going throw the mesh and removing the fog but what ever works. Just trying to be helpful. My way took about 5 minutes each side.

Sorry for raising the dead, but can someone post some pics pointing out where to remove the wheel well screws and how to reach the reflector from the inside? Got a new 550i and really want to do this mod. Thanks.

its by the front of the wheel. u should see it where it attaches the bumper, there is one or two screws, remove it and u should be able to ply open the tirewell to get ur hands inside, and just heat up the side markers a lil bit and push inwards. if u wonder if u have to take off the wheels, u do not have to, all u have to do is turn ur wheels all the way towards one side u wll have enough space to unscrew the bolts.

im looking to do this but I want to paint the reflectors myself. Anyone know where to get Metallic Black Bmw Paint in a spray can? Does that even exist?

Also, does anyone know how to remove the rear bumper reflectors(non M-Sport)?

Answered my own question. If any of you are looking for their OEM paint in a spray can, you can order it from here:

Thanks guys for instructions. I finally installed mine and it took about 15mins for each side as i had to use a hair dryer to warm up the OEM reflector. For those of you that need pix, see attached.

Pix #1
As you see on the first pix, you want to unscrew the (2) screws along with the bottom one at the base of the inner fender well (not shown in pix).

Pix #2
You'll need to pull out the plastic covering to get behind the reflector as your pushing the OEM reflector inward.

Pix #3
Getting ready to install painted reflector.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. Anyone install the back reflectors? I am thinking you just pry them out with a flat tip screw driver. Looks like they might be clipped in.

Anyone have any success and can chime in?

does this get a lot more complicated if you have the sideview cameras? It seems like they might have to be moved out of the way to do this install...
