Sport Package
Anyone bummed about the omission of the Sport Package? I could never order the M-sport because it's too flare-y and I don't love the way the front quarters become squared off. But I still want the Sports A/T with shift paddles! It should be included in the Dynamic Handling Package, at least! I also LOVED the 19" rims on the 535i sport, but now I can't order them!!

You also lose the Sport steering wheel, a big upgrade I think. My solution was to just go ahead and get the M-sport. I was initially leery of the stying in front, but I'm really pleased with it now. It is a nice look. But the M package I think has become largely cosmetic.

Yes, I was very much bummed when that happened. The sport package was a way to get everything you wanted but retain the original non-M sport look. And those classy rims were fantastic! I loved them.
I "sucked it up" and ordered M sport on my 2013 (arrives in a few weeks). Whatever. The car will be fantastic nonetheless, but I admit I was very bummed. -Corey |

I prefer the m sport front bumper. It looks more aggressive than the regular one. Also around in my area the m sport 5 series are a lot more rare than the standard.

I've seen so many posts where people say that they regret not getting the m-sport package. I think 5 series looks great with m-sport.

After seeing the MSport front and rear the regular just looks so plain to me.

search the threads I've written.
to date, the non m sport 5 was the best looking 4 door BMW to roll out of Germany. ditching the sport pack was just as lame as making "lines" on the 3 series. Thing is, the non m sport look is beautiful. |

To me I wouldn't of got the 5-series if it wasn't for the msport package. I'm not ready to look or feel non-sporty yet..lol

I love the looks of my F10 with the sports package and the multi=contour seats that came with the package. And I also have 4-wheel steering which is fabulous.

I consciously chose the Sport package (non-M) when selecting my F10 535. I like the M look, but it wasn't for me. I prefer the cleaner "executive" look of the non-M grill. With the Sport package (available in '12 but discontinued in '13), I felt like I got the best of both worlds. The look I wanted, with all the functional features of the Sport package including 19" wheels. It's an option I think BMW should've retained.

My whole theory behind the car is an M5 is the M SPORT with the awesome M engine. M sport is just a sportier base car that nods to the M. |

What does it matter! If you like how it looks then buy it.. Msport package is selling on every model and a great money-maker option for bmw. Nobody going to berate you for having a m5 look-a-alike...its purpose is just to be cosmetic.

I personally love the MSport. The regular car just looks to be missing the aggressiveness the MSport cars have.

The major fail for the M Sport package was eliminating the Multi-contour seats and making those a stand alone option ... I suspect to keep the aero package affordable for people who wanted to impress the "outer world" ... for me, I wanted the stuff that worked for me = THE Multi-Contour SEATS! IMHO having the standard seats on a "sport BMW anything" is LAME! But then, that's just me.

Again BMW makes another poor decision about another sport pack! Eliminate the regular sports pack. Make sport seats not part of the "m" sport pack!
