Wrinkled driver's seat on new car

Hey guys, just picked up a new 528 the other day after a 3 month wait. Wondering if the driver's side seat was suppose to wrinkle heavily after a day of delivery. Attached a pix. pix dont look that bad but looks pretty bad in real life. Thanks in advance guys.

I understand that it will eventually happen but the fact that its accelerated (in a day) is a bit disconcerting and feels like there isnt much cushioning at the side area as you can literally feel gaps in the cushion.

Have forwarded the issue to my dealer and they will check into it.

My friend has a 1 year old x5 and the seats havent worn like this.

That is not the leather but the foam/cushion underneath it. Get it looked at while its new so they dont blame you for abusing it. The will replace the seat for you

I had a larger wrinkle in the leather on my drivers seat. It was there when I picked up the car. I mentioned it to the person doing my delivery and she said it's leather and it will show some folds. I thought of telling them to put in a new seat, but it didn't look bad or anything plus I was excited to get in and drive my new car. My car is a 2011 535xi with Dakota leather seats. It is a year and a half later now and the seats look fine. The slight fold in the seat looks exactly as it did on day one. Besides my favorite leather couch at home is full of folds, if it's too tight it can rip.

Absolutely normal. It will take a lot longer for the front passenger seat to have the same natural beautiful folds sine you probably don't use it every day. But, after 5 years they will start to look the same. Don't fret it.
