F10 , no interior light

Hi,

friend of mine bought crashed F10 528i. Engine will start. But there are no interior lights, no light in trunk. Idrive will start but in different language, ...maybe says something about battery and idrive died.

What it could be? any ideas? Even whaen the engine is running. the Idrive doesnt reaact at all.

Where was it hit? Fuses and fuse boxes come to mind...

Most likely the BST (battery safety terminal) deployed. It will need to be replaced if it did.

hi. it was direct front. But strange is no airbags were out... Fuses are fine all of them.. I was thinking about the BST... I will check it tomorrow.

where exactly is the BST in F10 ?

Lower left corner of that picture, the yellow/black wires are the detonator lead. Wiggle the big red cable and see if its loose.

I have checked the cables... and everything is OK. But still no interior lights. Idrive starts and then die and cant be turn on again

I will check the car with diagnostic tomorrow and tell you more. strange is..that I can start the car ...

I've checked the car with diag... there was IBS error and low voltage... so I have charged the battery and lights and cic is working now
