Certainly check and experiment with tyre pressures, as our cars can be very sensitive to running optimum pressures. Also check for odd tyre wear, poor wear patterns are not going to help. I assume it doesn't suffer from steering pull, simply wanders? How good (central) is the steering wheel when driving straight? If it is a bit off, that can mess with EPS precision in use. BTW, my F11 (2011 build), drives straight and with precision on 18" run-flats. Steering doesn't wander or require adjustment in a straight line, at any speed. Severe cambers will be noticed through the steering, but even that is minimal and not a daily occurrence. |

Take this with a grain of salt. I read on another thread somewhere that there is a "drive ahead" software update that helps? I've pinged my SA and see if it is relevant to my car.

There's a SB called "steer ahead" that the dealer should handle for you for free. I put a up a post about it somewhere on here. It should correct the wondering. It requires a flash of the car so be prepared for that. I never felt mine was 100% better until I upgraded my sway bars. The SB will make t much better

test drove a 530D M Sport last week before ordering the 535D M Sport, it was NONE adaptive and drove arrow straight at 85 MPH no problem, I have ordered Adaptive Suspension on mine.
Never heard of this here in the UK.

The tyres are new all round but the steering wheel was off when I first got the car hence the 4 wheel alignment but this is now sorted. It does't seem to centre very well at high speed (60+ mph) and needs constant corrections. The steering is extermely sensitive when needing correction and very light but then when needing to turn (still at high speed) it seems very heavy! Steering seems to be effected by everything, camber, wind, but sometimes nothing at all. Just for info what is does the SB mean in this quote "There's a SB called "steer ahead"" and what's the SA in this quote " I've pinged my SA and see if it is relevant to my car." |

Dealer called me Friday to say they have sent a request to BMW UK about the issue and requested a software update. They wouldn't do it without their permission due to the possibility of frying a module and becoming liable for the cost of repair. Dealer called me Saturday. BMW UK have agreed to let them update the software but first they want them to check the software version on the car (on what module I dont know) because my cars build date (11/2013) is close to a changeover, (i'll find out about that more when they call today). They them need to take the car on a 30 mile test drive on a motorway (they asked my permission) If the problem exists they will update the software. I'll post again soon as they are due to call today. |

Upadate,
Just picked the car up from the dealer. They've told me the software is update to date and they cant find anything wrong. I mentioned the Staright ahead steering update but they have said the software is the lastest version and there is nothing mroe that can be done. I'm going to take it for a long drive on the weekend and see if anything has changed but I doubt it. |

Problems I've had in the past with pulling, vibration and wandering.
Control arms Weak shocks Run flats Stock springs too soft Steer-ahead flash Bent rims Things that resolved wandering for me Replaced rear swaybar with 550 Steer-ahead flash Control arms Upgraded springs and shocks Things that resolved vibration Replacing bent rims Replaced warped rotors Ditching run flats!
