Looked through the forum trying to find answers, tried everything suggested but nothing helped.
Front passenger seat still makes noises when empty. Can't enjoy driving by myself since it annoys me.

1. Tried putting up the headrest, but did not help
2. It is not the seatbelt

What should I look for? Dealer said I should give my car to them for a day or two so they can check.
Anyone had a problem like this before and had it fixed? What was it?

mine makes a funny rubbing noise when in certain positions.

I found out it was the seat back side bolster that was rubbing against the center console.
I just inflated it a bit and moved the seat slightly and the noise was gone.

Any idea of where the noise is on the seat?
My head restraint (msport seat) used to rattle but it was a case of just adjusting restraint by moving slightly forward or backwards.
If the noise is from thebase, try mocing the seat forward and backwards slightly.
If you can, get someone to sit in the back and see if they locate the source as its quite a difficult task from the drivers seat whilst driving.

I have a 2015 550i, F10. I get an intermittent dull-solid-rattle from the passenger seat when empty. Pushing the seat back towards the passenger door, to stabilize it, stops it for as long as I keep pressure on it. Haven't addresses it with dealer yet and may not as it seems to be getting better. With only 700 miles so far I'm giving it some time to fix itself.

Hi, do you have sunroof?
I was crazy by passenger noise before. Once when I opened the sunroof, there is no noise anymore. So I started to look noise source from sunroof. finally I fixed it by lubricating sunroof rubber edge with silicon oil.
