Michelin Pilot Super Sport 20"(Ferrari)question?
So I've finally decided to go with a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport for my 2012 535xi.
I have some staggered rims that are 20x9 and 20x10.5. I'll be going with 245/35-20 front and 285/30-20 rear. It seems like the front in that size is a OEM dimension for Ferrari. From what I understand there is a Ferrari OEM in 245/35-20 and a different part number for the same dimension that isn't Ferrari OEM? Not sure if there's a difference? Has anyone bought fronts in that size and heard about the Ferrari OE version or is it all the same? |

I just bought the same exact tire/size. I was told theres no difference just that its an OE tire for Ferrari just like how certain tires have a star on it if its OE Bmw supposedly...
My tires came and no where on the tire label did it mention Ferrari or anything. My guess it could just me a tirerack thing...

^ hope you know I was just inserting a bit of humor .. no offence.
^ but if you are going too fast, nobody will be able to see your Ferrari tires up close |

I think Tirerack just carries that size as a Ferrari replacement. The tires the cars come with from the factory probably have the K1 stamp and the Tirerack version has the same specs and size. Just my guess. I guess I'll see Friday! As long as I didn't just buy a set of tires that are specifically made for Ferrari and where the specs are slightly different than standard Michelin PSS. From all the reading I've done...I should be fine. |

So I got the tires...and yes...they have the K1 marking for Ferrari OEM!
Should this mean anything to me or can I consider these to be a standard Michelin Pilot Super Sport? Maybe I'm just over thinking this? |
