Need Some Help Understanding Sports Packages

I am planning on picking up an F10 sometime early next year and plan on going the CPO route. I know that when the F10 was first introduced in 2010 as a MY2011 vehicle, the M-Sport Package was not available. So I know that 2011 models could have been equipped with the regular Sports Package or the M-Sport Package. My questions are as follows:

1. What was included in the regular Sports Package besides 18" wheels (I don't remember the Style number at the moment) and sports seats? Did the sports package have different bumpers, side skirts and steering wheel? Any suspension differences?

2. Was the regular sports package completely eliminated for MY2012? Or could you opt for either the Sports Package or M-Sport Package? I know that the regular Sports Package has been eliminated for MY2013?

3. If the regular Sports Package included a different suspension, is the M-Sport package the same? Or is the M-Sport package even stiffer than the regular Sport Package suspension?

My first choice would be to find a 6-speed M-Sport, but if I am unable to find one in one of my desired color combos with the options I am seeking, I may resort to picking up an F10 with the regular Sports Package but want to understand what I would need to upgrade to essentially make it an M-Sport.

Thanks in advance for your insight. I currently drive an E46 ZHP Sedan and am itching to get into a newer F10.

Your questions are too broad. The packages are all different depending on the model; 528, 535, 550, x-drives etc. For example, there are both Sport and M-Sport packs available with three different rims across three models.

2012 535i or 535i-X-drive?
Country?
M-sport and Sport are available for both in 2012. BUT they have different rims, performance vs all-seasons, steering wheels, and M includes the exterior aerodynamic kit and different interior trims. Dynamic Damper Control is included with either one but no other mention of suspension changes. And thats for the U.S. market.

Garage List
I got my 535i right when they first came out in May 2010. It's 6MT with the Sport package all performance-related options. It'll go back on lease in about 8 months. That's the soonest you'll see F10s coming off 3-year leases. Good luck!

Yes that is when the supply will really start to explode, but dealers already have some used ones in their inventory.

Agreed on used popping up.
My 2012 535xi was bought by an elderly man (91) who promptly lost his license so returned his new car with 133km (83mi) after two weeks. His son brought it back in exchange for something smaller for himself.
My salesman had been on the lookout for me, called, and a day later (July 6, 2012) the car was in my driveway.

Sport package on my '12 535i xDrive included:

- Dynamic Damper Control
- Anthracite headliner
- Multi-contour seats
- Shadowline exterior trim
- Sports leather steering wheel
- Increased top speed limite
- 245/40 R19 all-season radials w/10-spoke 19" wheels

All the functional kit, but no M body trim. I preferred the non-M body (which is not to say I don't like the M look - I do).

I also got the Sport automatic transmission with shift paddles.
