Need A Morr VS8.2 10-1/2" Wide Rim Brushed Clear Finish

Someone hit my wife awhile back and what we thought, scraped her rear left rim. It was repaired ( along with the bodywork) and we went off on our way.

Fast forward to today and my wife goes in to have a nail removed from her tire and they notice a crack in the rim, it's on the back lip. These rims are no longer made - does anybody have a spare wheel this size and color laying around?

There is a company named pyspeed in the US that seem to indicate that they have them in stock...

Can't you have the crack welded, one of mine was cracked and a wheel shop cut a notch into the wheel along the crack and welded it. It passed it's inspection with BMW afterwards with them saying that they were happy with the repair.

I did get that wheel fixed, but some a-hole in front of my wife dropped something off the back of his truck that she ran over on the freeway at 75 mph as she had no place to go, it jacked up the front end and caught and blew the tire off the rim and and by the time she was able to pull over to the shoulder the back side of the rim was missing, only the front was still intact. That's the reason I need a new wheel. And no, the guy didn't pull over he kept going.

Well at least it only damaged the car, look on the positive side it could have come through the window...

You're right, it could have been a lot worse - at least the car can be repaired or replaced....
But now I've got a damage repair that will be posted on the CarFax and Experian reports and it wasn't even our fault.

Appreciate it's annoying, I had my car hit three times in the last six months whilst it has been parked outside my business. Nobody stopped to leave their details and I have had to pay for the repairs as I just had a £45k claim because some a-hole wrote off my X5 in January. I don't want to keep claiming as my insurance would just be ridiculous.

But we have to remember people are more important than possessions. I loved my X5 and was gutted when I saw the state of it after the accident, but the thing saved my life as the accident was horrific involving three cars....

I did find an outfit that will make me a new wheel - it just costs twice as much as i paid for each wheel, but at least I don't have to buy a whole set or spend $6,000 to upgrade to HRE's, and insurance is picking it up.

They were my first call and was told that they no longer manufacture that wheel anymore and my best bet would be to try the BMW forums and see if I could find someone who has a set for sale. I did find one set, but they were pretty beat and needed to be refinished. I found a place that can cut me a new wheel and finish it to match, but they are pricey.

Wouldn't they even give you a list of stockists, or contact some for you to see if anyone has some leftover stock?

Nope, no, not even. I guess they'd rather have me look someplace else. So much for customer service and trying to keep rolling on a set of Morr wheels.
