How to change your grills in 90 seconds

Yeah, so... about keeping my stock grills.

After unsuccessfully trying to remove via countless DIY instructions, and ripping the skin off my hands trying to get to the lower clips, I decided to do things the old fashioned 'Merican way!

Whatever, the gloss black performance grills look amazing.

Lmao. I thought my stock grilles would be useless as well until I found someone specifically looking for 535 grilles. Fetched me $60!

I just did mine the other day.

It was a right PITA, but got there eventually, after getting the top ones off and one of the side ones, it was easier getting to the first bottom one. Then you can pull the grill out enough to get to the last two through the grill hole.

Did scratch up all my arm, skint my knuckles, and shouted at the wife in doing so though. Was well worth it mind you...

My salesman and I changed them out in about 120 seconds. Pop out, pop in.

LMAO, was not expecting that.

However, I do aggree... its extremely difficult, especially if you're doing it outside in cold temperature. I remember being able to pop them out by just yanking on them in the summer, and in the winter... I nearly broke the bumper in half.

didn't you see Lacsters tutorial? If your cutting your fingers just wear mechanix gloves or something. It's real easy to do.

Grill swap

My grilles on 2013 535i just poped out and replacements snapped right in. Odd that others aren't so easy.

The e60 grills are a pain to switch, too, but relatively speaking, the F10s are much harder to access/dislodge. It's rare that you get to destroy something on your car with absolutely zero fallout, so I took full advantage. Obviously.
