thats what i was thinking as i was reading through this, people might be perceiving it differently because the seats moved back or little tiny things might change from what their usual fob would have them be doing.

Time for a resurrection....
When I bought this car it came with one key/fob. The dealer ordered a new key for me and it came in the other day and the guy in parts programmed it to the car. Not only did the new key reset everything (expected after some searching) but the map display is TOTALLY different. Here are the different displays:
I know the red is supposed to be traffic, but in the new display all major roads (as you can see) are red. There is NO traffic. I did check the display traffic (?) box in the iDrive. Ideas??????? |

I downloaded the old key's profile onto a USB and then re-installed it. I then swapped keys and started the car. The NAV took longer to start then normal and when it did the all-red freeways were gone.
