Opinions on future acquisitions, more info in thread
So, I'm about to graduate medical school and start residency next year. I have about ~30-35k to spend (I'll worry about loans later). I'm thinking of either:
1) Trade my F10 550i for a used F10 M5 2) Get Stage 5 Dinan 3) Keep F10 550i (car is fully paid off) and get a 435i + finance of course 4) Keep it and wait for the next 2016-2017 550i? Need some advice... I'll be driving to work everyday as well. |

I'm a fan of using the extra cash to get a cool and different second car to join a car you still enjoy, such as the F10 if you're not bored of it (getting bored of a car is something that happens when you've had it/driven it enough, happens to all cars). It also allows you to feel like your car is fresh and "new" for much much longer.
If I plan to buy out my Lease in 2015 when it's up (very hypothetical), I'd probably consider either getting a second car to go along with it while waiting to see how enticing the next gen 5 is to me, and if I like it that much more than the F10, getting it when it's in its second or so year of production (never do a first year with BMW).

I'll probably wait for the next 5er or a new 4er. Thanks. |

Invest the money. The housing market is really just getting its feet back under it. Lots of good buys out there on investment properties. With the right property and tenants, being a landlord isn't bad, and the tax benefits are good. I am trying to pick up another investment property myself before this economy fully recovers.

Do you want a fast 'comfortable' car or do you want a fast more nervous 'semi-sports' car?
If the first, get the DINAN, if the later take the M5.

yeah, it's either like what Bake said and try to find another property or wait until the current M5 drops a little more. but in the meantime, I might invest in Dinan S1 |

if it's all paid off - find out it's value and trade for a different color/year/options at about same price to make it feel different enough until you see the next car you absolutely love.
Take and Invest or Home the rest of the money.
