F07 GT Seatbelt

Hi All,
A question on behalf of the inlaws....they've recently taken delivery of a 5GT (520dM in Carbon Black). Lovely car. Anyway, I digress...

Here's the thing, they say you cannot drive away the car without the seat belt being clicked in, is that correct? If so, is there any was I can disable with coding. Don't remember this feature on my F10 and I'm not local to their car to test.

Any thought appreciated.

They must mean the bonging and / or trying to drive with the door ajar.

If you select autohold then the car will not allow you to drive away without your seatbelt on or if a door is open. If you manually disengage the handbrake then the car will allow you to drive away without your seatbelt on, however it will start to bong after a certain distance or above a certain speed

Thanks, I understand now.

Anyone know a way to code out this 'feature' with auto hold.
I have no problem with the 'bong' and wouldn't look to remove those.

Not sure why you would want this however, auto hold is not the default so surely you can move off and then select auto hold?

This is the thing, having not seen this first hand I don't know exactly how it works.
I've told them to disable it and see if that works for them.

The auto hold function once switched on, stays on until the car is switched off.

once you switch the car back on, auto hold is ACTIVE only until you drive away, at which point it deactivates until you reactivate it by pressing the button.

What this means for your relatives is that they need to manually switch off Auto Hold before they park up.

The other alternative is to just press the brake pedal and push down on the parking brake button before driving off.
