Over revving F10 520d
I have a 2013 F10, 520d at around 57500 miles. It seems to be over revving a little, and just not right. Its been into the dealer under warranty and they said it was something do to with Diesel Particle filter and it would sort itself out.
Any ideas, its back for a service next week but didn't know if anyone else has had this issue? Any help and advice appreciated so that I can push them as the warranty runs out mid December. Thanks |

can you elaborate on what you mean by over revving?
i believe (and have noticed it twice on my car) that it holds a gear lower than you would expect and that is due to the dpf needing cleaning and perhaps not enough long runs where the car is up to temperature. so it holds to gear to create a nit more heat. (also read it puts more fuel in so you may notice a drop in fuel economy whilst that happens) so has the car just been on short nourneys of late by any chance? |

Thanks for the replies, I do about 70 miles a day commuting, on single A roads mainly so 45-60mph. It just holds the revs about 1000/1500 rpm above then it used to. How long does it take to regen or should it be cleaned at the next service, 3rd annual (Which is this week)
