Non Bav Audio upgrades
So I love my F10, it's a super car, but the one thing that disappointed and really must be upgraded is my audio.. I have base audio right now ie no tweeters, sub or centre...
I've read all the reviews and it's clear that Bavsound is a great option, but let's face it £1000 at least for speakers and subs (I don't think I have the enclosure under the seat anyway???), and after all that I don't even have an amp! All in a lot of money, much as I love audio, and the base sound is not good enough 4 figures is a lot these days! So my question is, using UK suppliers has any one experience of upgrades for say £500? I guess I'm more looking for a decent active sub, a centre speaker and perhaps an upgrade on the rears? I do want OEM look but am more than happy to do myself (did lots of this many years ago when i was way younger!!!) Another option is waiting for an HK coming up on eBay? |

I've installed the MTX tx6 kit into mine. I also had base audio. The subs are already under the seats just so poor you barely know they are there. I fitted it myself in a couple of hours. It cost me £285 and the sound quality is way better than it was. To get the full potential I think installing a better amp would help but it's much better for now.

The rears I've left as they are. I might upgrade them too but not just yet as I've blown all my money on 535d front brakes and eibachs.
Centre speaker isn't really needed so I've left it alone. The amp is next on the list. |
