Quality body shops in NYC, Queens, Li?
Hi Locals,
I am in the process of looking for a quality body shop around the NYC area to properly prep, paint and install a M5 Rep bumper purchased from **********s. I understand Martino is the shop of choice but based on my discussion with John @ MAC, they didn't really seem interested working with aftermarket bumpers. I got a good quote ($450) from Federal Auto body located in Flushing, Queens and the shop seems legit and been in business since the 80's. has anyone heard of them or have any recommendations? Thanks All! |

let me know where you end up going and how it goes. I'm in queens and looking to do work also. I had front bumper work done to my pre lci at MAC and they did an amazing job. drawbacks are costly and took about a month.

Tolima's Auto in Long Island City
http://www.tolimasauto.com/ Met them thru my cousin who has been working with the owner for years. They have worked on all my cars from Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes that I've bought through Auction and needed major repair (all types of work). This is my first car thru dealership but otherwise I would be taking my car only to them for anything. - Oil Changes, Inspection, Body Work, Parts, or Engine check. Their Senior Tech is very very well-versed with European cars and always see plenty of Euro cars coming in the shop.

Yea Martino and JVC are both great. I have friends and family that deal with both. I need to make an appointment myself. Got my F10 a week ago and someone already violated it.

so I decided to go with Precision Auto Works in LIC. Great reviews and 5 stars on yelp based on 40 reviewer. They are not a BMW certified collision shop but they do work on BMW'S daily and high end cars.
The are certified for Tesla, Infiniti, Nissan, VW, Mini and other makes and guarantees all work. They are charging me $1,000 for the front bumper conversation along with both side skirts, I feel the price is fair and I will report back once I get my car back. |

i have used PitStop, Island Park, several times to do work. I know the owner and he does the work himself.
