Bimmer Tech upgrades

Hi all,

Was decoding my VIN online (as you do)

and noticed after entering it that the website (Bimmer Tech) was offering lots of DIY upgrades, automatic boot close, keyless door entry, reverse camera etc.

I quite like the idea of the boot close for the F10, I just wanted to check if anyone here has any experience of it - or even a different system if one exists? (Not sure if a factory fit system is available for retrofit?)

I quite fancied the idea of a Power Trunk for my F10 till I saw the price, at which point I decided I quite like closing it the hard way and the exercise does me good anyway

Bimmertech is the expert on retrofits and are highly reputable.

That's reassuring to know, I presume for UK supply its a DIY job?
Must admit I like the idea of reverse camera as well (my last car had it and I grew quite accustomed to it!)

Factory fit boot close is excellent, but it is also not difficult to pull it down for the money to retrofit it to my mind.

Keyless entry on the other hand I would like....

I have this feature and it is very nice. Standard on MSport 530 and 535 I believe. No idea how you code it but you'd surely need the motor/hydraulic system that can pull the Boot/Tailgate down?

I also have the comfort access. Also a very nice feature.

I have electric boot but I'm not sure I'd bother again. It is a pain when it is pouring down with rain as it is far too slow to open. I'd be happy with pop-open and power-close. I've had comfort access but I haven't got it currently. The recent security vulnerabilities that have been exposed would probably put me off. I can't be arsed storing my keys in the micro-wave overnight etc.

Mine has M Sport+ (530) and it has no boot close, so I presume its an option.
Although I have never looked at the brochure so no idea really..
