Jb Plus Vs Racechip For N63tu

so i bought jb plus for my 650i n63tu engine, setting at 12 o clock, 0 to 60 time 4 sec and 1/4 mile 12.7 sec at 108, stock was 4.3 and 12.85.
not happy at all.

1) why my car is not able to hit low 12 sec 1/4 miles as other users out there driving n63tu 5 series and 6 series?

2) stock 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile of new x5 50i (n63tu) is 4.3 and 12.8, how is that possible given that the truck is less aerodynamic and weighs 700 lbs more than my car?

3) so i tried racechip ultimate but installed it incorrectly to MAF sensors and 0 to 60 improved to 3.9 sec and 1/4 mile to 12.4 but MAF check engine light came on, driveability was fine so i contacted racechip and they told me that installation is incorrect and i have to connect to the TMAP sensors infront of the intercoolers, after correct installation the check engine was gone and did not come on again but there was no improvement in performance, 0 to 60 time and 1/4 mile times remained stock. i contacted them and they asked me to change the S2 dial setting from B to C and then A and see if there is improvement, i did that with no improvement in performance remains stock.
they claim about 22% increase in hp and torque with their ultimate chip.
they have given me 10 more days beyond 14 day return window to see if things workout.
i dont know what to do?

4) i am thinking about returning racechip and going for ess tune or active autowerke tune but both their tune/boxes/wiring harness look similar to racechip, so i am guessing they all are same product with different outer shell.

5) should i go for ecu flash tune by mission tuning? their hp and tq gains reported are not great for stage 1 and what about factory warranty?

please advise what to do...

I am record holder for the N63TU
Ran 11.5 at 120mph and that's with engine trouble. Car could have done low 11s.

Check out my other threads.

Just BMS cranked to 4pm and charcoal fitter delete I ran 12.0 at 115mph

I did ecu tune and downpipes only and did 11.5.

i did crank the dial whenever i go beyond 12 oclock the car drives fine but check engine light pops up code P101A, thats mass air flow sensor problem.
so i have kept the dial close to stock number.
i do run 91 octane(non ethanol) 10 gallons + 2.5 gallons e85 mix so octane rating is 93-94.
thanks will check out your posts/threads.

Clean your mass air flow sensors.
Bring car to dealer and tell them this code comes up (remove JB) and see what they say.

But yea ideally 4pm setting. The JB gains a mountain of torque and about 40-50whp. I was at with just BMS on 4pm setting on dynojet 481whp.
Also with downpipes and BMS stage 1 I did 11.8 at the 1/4

Spark plugs every 10k miles ideally

Also, MAF connects to the intakes. Get MAF cleaner and Google or YouTube how to clean it.

so i did clean the maf sensors pretty easy to take out and clean, they looked pretty clean to begin with but i used the maf cleaner.

so spark plugs should be changed every 10k miles?
is it diy or dealership?
if i have to go to dealership then i will get spark plugs and wall nut shell media cleaning at the same time. they quoted about 600-700 bucks for wall nut shell cleaning.

Great!

The spark plug change is really all you need.

The wall it cleaning is optional. If you have over 50k miles why not.

Other then that you should be good to go.

P.s I don't know if anyone who got a code for the N63tu running the BMS piggyback.
Very odd. I deff don't think it's the jb4.

Also, if you want real power do the ecu tune. The car transforms!!!

so i am thinking about going the flash tune route power gains are around 70-75 whp and 40-45 wtq with stage 1.
is that significantly better than bms jb plus for n63tu?
what 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times should i expect with stage 1 flash tune only everything else stock?

With a Ecu tune only I did 0-60 in 3.7- 3.9 sec consistent with my Vbox.

With Downpipes and Ecu tune was doing 3.4-3.6 sec on Vbox

The power under the curve increase drastically.

Jb4 fell on its face with power after 5k.. Great for what it is but if you want real results then ecu tune.

I currently hold world record and Info@EnzoPerformance tuned my car. 11.5 at the 1/4

so sub 12 sec 1/4 is not possible with stage 1 flash tune only?
i was getting 0 to 60 in 3.8 sec with ess etronic tuner but had to install it to maf sensors instead of tmap sensors. the tmap site for tune not working for me and maf was giving performance but cel p101a same as jb plus.
