F10 Vertical Hood Adjustment? How?

Seems like my F10's hood sits a few mm higher on the drivers side than the pass. In the past my old bmw's have a rubber grommet that you can just turn to adjust vertical alignment but this isn't the case on the F10. Before i go out and experiment has anyone done this themselves yet?

Thanks
Alan

before you tinker, make sure the hood is shut properly. It may seem like it's shut, but I have found it's not that easy. The latches on both sides often leaves one of them slightly open. I saw a F10 in the parking lot with this the other day and had to laugh about it.

i mean i pushed down on both corners enough to think its shut. Anymore pressure i would be worried about putting a nice dent on the hood at that point.

The official way to close it is to lower the thing and drop it:
Drop it from 16 inches then press down on it to fully close. I find this doesn't really work. I get it to the 16 inch area but then slam it. The only time I press down on the hood, is if the car is completely clean and I'm pushing down on the hood with a microfiber towel between the hood and my hand.

Apropos this, just a few days ago after I had opened the hood to look at the engine compartment, I drove my F10 out of the garage and got a message on the instrument panel that the hood was not completely latched so I stopped and opened and reclosed the hood, after which the message disappeared. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience.

Yes. The first time I washed my car a couple of weeks ago I got the message when I went to back out of the garage later in the day.

I had the same problem, there are 4 rubber grommet on the engine compartment, I believe the two outside one are adjustable. Like gotoman39 said, make sure the two outside latches are tight.

It can be adjusted. My dealer did for mine. The left side was sitting much lower because the latch was too low.

Adjusting the black rubber damper at the side does help, but does not resolve the matter fully and causes the hood to be hard to latch on.

The hood is now easy to fully latch on and yet perfectly level.
