BMW take all good details from e92 , f01 and straight looking view of e39 and developed "absolute" car. - gonna be sweet product for them i think.
One more important detail remaining - tail lights..

looks good but i have to say it is not that impressive, and the E60's eagle headlights look much meaner. however, I believe F10 and the M5 will be the best daily driving car and monster!

Looks much better than E60

White colour does nothing for the shape, looks better in blacks and greys

Will needs the M-Sport pack to look its best (UK Sept 2010, I hope?)

If you look at the first pic, there is definitley a lot of 1 series coupe in there. I think the kidneys are especially reminiscent.

I agree...and very bland. I think the tiny front end contributes to the bland look. But, I'll reserve judgment until the camo is off and we can see the car in 550 sport setup...that will probably look a lot better.

...the next gen 3er is probably going to adopt this look....

BMW needs to stop the overly cautious designs. They going backwards to the audi syndrome, where every model just looks like the same sausage but in different lengths and sizes

Seriously Chris bangle got it right. Give each class a distinct feature that sets them apart clearly even when you're standing half a mile away.

This is at the moment a let down for me. I don't think it's ugly, but i just wouldn't feel special driving it since so many cars will look like it. I liked bmw when it was colourful and controversial I felt more like I found something special that only a auto connoisseur could appreciate and regular people just wouldn't understand.

i don't know, maybe it'll grow on me later.

I like it. A step up from the E60 which is either hideous or beautiful depending on who you ask.

Needs a aerodynamics package immediately. The base car shown here looks as bland and boring as a 528xi.

I really want to like this car, but I just don't. There's just something about that front end that doesn't appeal to me at all. Hopefully I will change my mind when the entire car is reveled or I see one in person.

i dunno how to feel.. it reminds me a lot of the e90 on the side. I like the mirrors. The head lights look like a down grade from previous head lights. The hood should be way better. looks like 528 or 530 sport... those wheels are nice. Too high to be sport..

As always, let's just wait for the sportier versions to come out.

I actually like the front end Throw some matte black grilles on an Alpine White and it would look awesome, though obviously not anywhere near as aggressive looking as the E60. I do not like how much it resembles a 7... it seems much bigger than the current 5.

I'll wait to make my final decision, when is the reveal?

I'm glad I went for the X6 rather than waiting for the new 5 Series.

It seems that the MB E class became more masculine and aggressive and that the 5 Series will be filling that feminine vacuum created by the E class.

I'm sure with the M Package and larger wheels it will be hot. Especially the M5 twin turbo V8.

It's really nothing special...just a little less boring than the 7 series.

btw, is designing ugly front bumpers going to be this common for every non sport BMW?

For some reason I really prefer the front of the 5-GT and was hoping the 5 sedan would get the same front.
