Well, I hope you enjoy it, because the more I read here and elsewhere the more I'm convinced that US F10 buyers ordering HUD after week 9 aren't getting the best part of this panel (i.e. the black out). Just the extended display (plus of course color HUD).

in china, ive order a 535i with pkg HUD in february, dealer told me it built in week 8, and it will arrive in the end of next month
is there someone can tell me, do my car have colour HUD and black panel display??

I agree with you nlk but I have no clear information either way. My US spec week 12 should be in my hands by April 8th, I will post if it has the blackout, etc. I am not expecting it. Either way I welcome to extended panel.

They've already changed the brochure to show the extended panel.

That's what my information was, the extended panel but not explicitly the blackout (so I assume not). Too bad.

Thanks for the heads up. The only online brochure for the F10 I was able to find (on the BMWUSA site) showed the European model.

After you power off the car, open and close the door then lock yourself in the driver's seat for about five minutes. This emulates you leaving the car.

Don't move around too much whilst you wait or the motion alarm might go off.

Now, after five minutes open the door or unlock via key fob and you will see all of the needles calibrate at once. They all dance like crazy and move to the negative and then come to rest precisely on to zero.

Kind of cool and you never get to see this state.

My f10 535i X M-Sport landed at the dealership today. No full black panel or even extended panel display sadly. It was a week 7 build. Interestingly enough from my point of view it came with Dynamic Driving Control which I had not ordered. Nowhere did I find this listed as part of the M-Sport package in the literature (just the 8 speed sport automatic) so I am happy to have it. Bummer is it came with 19" Goodyears too! Regardless I am VERY happy so far.

You sure you got DHP? I hope you are not mistaking the buttons beside the gear stick that let's you switch between "Normal, Sport, and Sport+" as the DHP because both Sport package and DHP have that.

Yep!. Those are the buttons for DHP.

I know you're in Canada and maybe it's different than in US but Dynamic Handling Package includes
• Dynamic Damper Control
• Active Roll Stabilization (ARS)
• Adaptive Drive

These same three items are included in M Sport package.

If your buttons toggle to Comfort, that means you have Dynamic Handling, as only DHP has the Comfort setting.

If you buy no DHP but get the Sport Auto Transmission, you will see the same buttons, but your options will be Normal, Sport, Sport +
