Who's got the highest mileage 550/N63 on the board?

hey guys,

Ran into a 2013 550 for $28k. 65k miles. N63 recall has been performed, but of course I'm very worried about long term reliability of this car. I'm coming from a 2001 BMW E46 that wasn't that bad to maintain and a 2014 335i that I recently sold but I had no quams about N55 engine reliability so i was comfortable with that engine.

So..of course I only hear about the bad news..but any owners here with more than 100k on their N63 engines? Even after recall services were performed, did issues continue to arise?

i have 75k on my 2011 n63. car is running strong, no issues

2011 91k no major issues yet, (40k of the miles are fully modded miles)

Just hit 80k miles on my 2012 550iX. Had the CCP done spring 2015, no issues with the car since then. Runs fine and is an absolute joy to drive.

Great to hear.

45,000 miles on my car and the warranty just expired.

I had the service done last year and have had no problems.

But I did purchase, for the first time ever, an extended warranty through 2021/100,000 miles.

Just turned 101,000 miles

Since about 75K miles Ive had multiple N63 issues , fortunately most covered under 100K extended warranty. The N63 customer recall campaign was completed around 80K miles.

Last week had right bank pressure converter , vacuum pipes and hoses replaced - BMW list price parts w/ labor $2500!!!!!

I had symptoms of this problem for about 10K miles that were well documented by my SA. BMW granted me goodwill assistance and my net price was reduced $900 - Thats great, but Im still pissed at this engines long range unreliability .

Will not get a BMW V8 again, this is my 3rd in a row

Be very careful, and absolutely always get the extended warranty!!!

I've got 105k, recall repair at around 86k and its burning oil and smells of coolant in the cabin.
But still has a lot of power.
