First irritant on my 550...

2 weeks into my 550, and there's a rattle from the passenger seat belt holder - seems like there's something loose inside the trim. Ironically had a similar rattle on my 09 335...visit to dealer imminent since it's bugging me..

Keep the belt buckle up high on the passenger side, the sound should go away

Good luck

Mine had the same problem, then I saw where the buckle was all the way down the belt and was hitting the B Pillar. Just move the buckle up using the plastic thingy? (I thought it was permanently attached on the belt...not the round one, but the one that spans the belt) Hopefully, this is what is causing your rattle.

I drape the belt over the seat to keep it from rattling against the pillar.

Sounds (ha) like the same problem the E90 had when it first came out as well.

My 550 doesnt do it at all but I have had a few F10 loaners that drove me crazy with the rattle. Not sure why but I think Ghueser is on to something.

I just adjusted the buckle when I got the car and it worked like a charm.

I see I'm not the only one with that rightside seatbelt rattle. Remedy: always take your partner/wife/whoever with you

Cabin noise....

Three week old 520 and I have a persistent buzz, sounds like a loose component, coming from centre of the dash. Its clearly something resonating at certain revs and when going over bumps. Really irritating given how fantastically quiet the car is otherwise. Anyone had a similar problem? Always worried tat if the dealer opens up the dash they will simply leave something else loose!

Hey Jim, drove many different F10's and I haven't heard these things, it might be car specific like you mention.

Lol I tend to reach over on a daily basis to adjust the seat belt to get rid of that noise!
