Alpina Heaven--Who is going there?
So, anyone getting the new B5 BiTurbo Touring, or B3 Cabrio? Saw these recently and although I am no station wagon guy, the B5 Touring is sexy as hell.
A semi-sleeper of sort, the numbers and performance are crazy on this thing. Anyone with additional details on them? |

Not the touring, but the sedan - ordered in March after a jaw dropping test drive experience, expecting to get it by end of July.
I'll stick to a standard black BMW Dakota interior with black gloss trim, but have ordered the Limited Slip Diff and AD/DD options (+ a few other goodies like HUD, premium sound or surround view). The exterior will be Sophisto Gray (II) without any decals or badges, as a "sleeper" look is intended. Here in Switzerland the price difference between a B5 and 550i (similarly equipped) is much smaller than between the 535i and 550i! The list price of my "reasonably" loaded B5 equals the base model price tag of the previous E60 M5. (BMW has not released the prices for the new F10 M5 yet, but I wouldn't expect it to be lower than its predecessor...) Here's a nice little video from a track test drive in the UK with Andi Bovensiepen (= new Alpina CEO, son of the Alpina founder, former race driver):
