Question regarding exhaust '11 528 (6 cyl NA) vs '12+ (4T)

Need some muffler edumacation please. Basically, there's a guy selling an Eisenmann exhaust from his '11 528 (NA 6 cyl) and he told me it wasn't compatible with the wife's '12 528 (4 T). From the pics, it looks like the hangers and semi-fakey right side works because apparently both 528s have the deep right side bucket. Just wondering why the mufflers can't be used on the 4T engines? Seems like everyone is putting everything different on their cars, i.e. M5/M6 mufflers on 550s and 535s. I, myself, have M5 cans on my 535GT and aside from the extra weld work, it works fine.
