E61 wheels on a F11??
Anyone done this?
Was considering getting some Eibach spacers for my F11, 12 or 15mm, the wheels just sit far too inside the arch. Then I thought how much I loved my 172M alloys on my E61 550i, if I was fit those to my 525d then it would effectively space the wheels 15mm due to the different offsets and arguably have a better looking wheel!. uestion is, would extending the wheels out by 15mm rub or still clear the arch? |

Have you looked here, at offsets against rim widths?
http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ You can then do a bit of math for each wheel and see where it fits in the F10/F11 working envelope. You don't say what rim widths you have, but I see the F10/11 351 (8.5" x 19", ET33) having a bigger offset, so your 172 (8.5" x 19", ET18 ?) will already be further out by 15mm, without spacers. I assume you are changing tyres to get the F11 rolling circumference, (RC) as the E61 is down a size on the aspect ratio, compared to the F11. HighlandPete PS: I think I'm reading you wrong... you have the 172 wheels, and/or you want to space the F11 wheels by up to 15mm? Not sure what clearance you'll have, I'd look at the largest sizes available as OEM, and see where the outside dimension comes. Pete Last edited by HighlandPete; 12-10-2012 at 03:30 PM.. |

Well, here's the e60 172M on a F10. I assume it got the wider rear.
More pics in this thread. http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...&highlight=172

Yeah, basically I've worked out putting the 172's on my F11 will make them stick out another 15mm, so just wanting to know if they will clear. My winters stick out 7mm more and look to have plenty of clearance still.

Sorry for the Thread revival but as I haven't a clue about wheel fitments, I'd thought I best ask before purchasing.
My mate has some aftermarket wheels that he bought for his E61 estate but never fitted, they are; Front = 20x9 ET20 and the Rear = 20x10.5 ET25. The rear do have more of a concave than the fronts. So 2 questions, 1. would they fit? 2. If they fit, what size tyre (Tires) would I need? The car is currently at standard ride height (m-sport) but I am looking at fitting coilovers in the not to distant future. |
