Trailer Hitch for F10 (535xi) in the USA?

Hi folks.. does BMW offer a trailer hitch option in the US? You know, a square 2"x2" receptacle which you can bolt in a hitch or Yakima rear bike rack etc.

I had the roof mounted BMW system before on my old E39, but i'm moving towards rear mounting bikes, rather than top mounting..

Help!!

no- there is no BMW F10 hitch yet. I had also been looking for a BMW or an aftermarket hitch because I had the trailer hitch setup for my last car.

The F10 BMW roof rack plus an aftermarket bike holder is a good option to consider- installs/comes off in seconds (after first initial setup) and is very sturdy.

Possible hitch for F10

Hi,

I was looking around for a hitch to be able to carry bikes in the back too. I found this place but have not yet contacted them.

Looks promising though. I am picking my car up on 06/20 PCD. This is on the list of mods. Let me know what you find out.

Sorry I was not aware of this option. The link for the hitch shows that the bumper may need to be cut- but it does not give details. Please post info if you get it done.

Hey Guys...

I have been emailing back and forth with Executhitch. They DO have an available hitch for the F10. As far as I can tell from what they are telling me the bumper DOES NOT need to be cut and the install is actually fairly simple. If you search for them on youtube there are some generic videos out there on how the hitches work. I got a quote of right around $800 (including shipping). They do the installs at their facility in GA (which does me no good) and they charge $180 for the install.

I have been looking since the day I got my F10 and this seem to be the most promising lead so far!

Let me know if anyone else has any additional info.

Has anyone installed one of these hitches on their F10?
