It will be nice to finally have a quality road in Texas that is built properly.

Are they really that terrible? I was under the impression that Texas roads were high quality (albeit, all in a straight line ).

Seriously. This is getting OT, but I've bent one wheel and destroyed two tires in two years, and I'm a fairly cautious driver.

If you haven't seen the news, there are rumors of a new race calendar for 2012. Sounds like Austin may get moved to November. That would great if it happens.

I heard Crofty mention that on the fp1 broadcast. Paired up with Brazil. Sounds great.

Early Nov is perfect. A little cool (60s) but generally dry and sunny. Would be great to get a late season race which might mean a title-deciding round.

Looks like November will be official. I think that's mostly a good thing, but also realize that many American observers might lose interest if the championship is already locked up.

Yeah, T'Day will be the 22nd, so it's the weekend immediately before. I guess I'll just stay in Austin for the duration with my sisters who both live there.

The Austin road course is going to host some incredible racing. There are so many elevation changes and long fast sections. I can't wait for F1 next year.

UltimateBMW- Where did you get those photos because they are my photos taken for Red Bull? Just wondering why there is a Getty watermark on them, as they were not shot for Getty. The Red Bull F1 run in Austin was a blast to shoot!
