Wow, new 2012 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI Quattro surpasses 535i in acceleration and handling. Seems like new A6 is a real deal.
Do you think that heavier (4233 lbs.) 535 xdrive will be able to match Audi A6 performance? Not a surprise to me. I test drove the A7 3.0T and found that handling beats the F10 by a mile in curvy roads. Steering feel is terrible, though.

And it really depends on the version of the A7 that you test drove. I test drove the A7 3.0T which has quattro as standard....... |

I read almost all reviews of cars that I may encounter on the road. Never know when you will need to kick their butt. And when you do, helps to know their weaknesses......

My problem is I almost never can tell if it's an A4 or A6 that's disappearing in my rearviewmirror. |

That's a mis-print. THe GY's on that car were GY Excellence Summer tires. The sport package car does not have All Seasons that fit those sizes.

I'm coming from the world of VW/Audi and this is my 1st BMW! These performance numbers are very misleading and I would double check that post!
Also, don't forget that most VW/Audi dealerships provide absolutely piss poor service, and their manufacturer's warranty is like playing a back-alley shell-game. I even had a dealer purchased Extended Warranty on my previous Audi vehicles and still got the nickel and dime treatment! Don't even get me started on the issues I had with my RS6 and S4's. Whatever the numbers are, if you don't build a quality product and back it with good service it's still a piece of junk. Hit it Beanie Man.. Simm Simma, you know the rest! |

Dude, I'm comparing A6 vs. 5-series, which are probably two best German mid-sized sedans right now. And I’m not sure what’s your problem with Audi, it is comparable to Mercedes and BMW.

Just a typical monthly posting of a wanna be BMW owner. There is no competition, I drive everyday against Audi's and they all disappear from view, they are 2nd best ...

But don't you think this title: "2012 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI performance (WOW)" is a bit silly for a FIRST post on a BMW forum? dude

Audi is experts at branding. To me an Audi is a luxury Volkswagen. Or a Volkswagen with a beautiful design. You can buy a Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat or an Audi with the same engine. Only difference is the design, the price and Audi is better insulated.
Every time BMW comes with something new, or a new model - Audi does the same, right after. First the Bimmer 5, then the A6. BMW 535D bi-turbo - and now Audi launches a superdiesel. Im sick and tired hearing about how great Audi is, and all it is is a Skoda or Seat with a beautiful dress and a lot of commercials in the a... Audi is a Wannabe Bimmer or Mercedes. |

This is my first post on this BMW forum, but I'm active member on X5 forum (xoutpost.com) since I own one. I was impressed with performance of 2012 A6 so I decided to compare A6 to 535i since I'm looking to get one of those soon.
Also, why so much unrespect for Audi, why do you care so much that it’s owned by Volkswagen? Bugatti also owned by Volkswagen, so in your eyes it is overpriced VW with 1200 HP right? To me Audi earned a lot of respect lately by making true supercar Audi R8, winning last few years of LeMans race and improving performance to challenge even BMW. |

as some one pointed out the tires were touring, whick arent the best, i feel the audi may be faster, but the bimmer is more pleasing if u get what im saying, also did the 5er come with active roll control that is the best option on the car
