KW V3 Coilovers Price In Hong Kong

For those of you who are interested. I just got a quote from a local Hong Kong vendor for KW V3 coilovers, details as follows:

Price: HK$ 21,200

And the labor for install the coilover is HK$ 1,500

The KW coilover only for without electronic damper

About the lead time, if you order around 3 – 4 weeks

1 day for installation

Debating between the above KW or H&R (sport springs only, around HK$4k installed), any comments?

Thanks for investigating rc3. Does installing this void the warranty?

yes, the BMW warranty is void for the suspension. but the vendor will warrant the coilovers. Don't know the period, I will make further enquiry.

HR sports are good but with stock shocks you'll feel the road more and
you might have to replace the shocks in a few years. If you don't want to
ruin your ride quality I'd suggest KW's but it's kinda pricey but worth every penny.

Yes but my wallet was lately busy with wedding and just arrived baby
But as a feedback from Loong Wah garage I must say I am quite mitigate.

The whole story below :
I have previously asked them the price for the kw v2 + setup + alignment and they quoted me 18.2K and they have one in stock. So so far nothing to say.
Just maybe that Z performance offered the same service for 17.4k but needed 2 weeks to order.

As I am busy with work and the "sitting month"() period, and that I wanted to make my ride more bearable for the family quickly so I jump to Loong wah.

When I asked them when I could drop my car they told me that the suspension was just sold! Then they asked me if I would like to order one and that a discount could be done.
I said yes and in this case I also requested a quotation for V1. I don't know if it's by chance but suddenly got a message saying that the v2 is still available
So ok i dropped my car.

Afterwards got a message asking me if I wanted a Pedal Box to be installed and that they highly recommend it. I said no.
Which led to another message with a special offer for V3 + pedalbox at 19.8K.
The breakdown being v3=18.2k and pedalbox=2k.

I was telling to myself "what v3 = v2 price??" then I said "ok go for v3"

And at the end when I picked my car I got my initially requested v2 ...
During the installation time, I saw they posted pics of my car but commenting it "F10 with KW V3" and those pics went before they proposed the V3 offer ...

They might be polite on the phone and face to face but their way to hard sales products is not good at all.

Lesson for this : don't save on 2 weeks delivery and save maybe in getting confused ....

Sorry to hear your story ching and thanks for sharing. It sounds very unprofessional.

I am interested in modifying my F10 too and excuse my ignorance, i have a few questions which i would like to seek advice from the experts here:

1. I was thinking about changing the wheels to Morr VS8.2 20" since there are a lot of good feedback, and my question is if the car is not lowered, would it look weird?

2. I hear mixed comments about lowering the car - a lot of people suggests just replacing the spring which is the cheapest with not much negative impact, but others recommend to change the whole suspension to avoid damage. any comments?

3. I have seen a lot of nice pics of modified F10s with M Sport(?) body kit, may I ask how much would that cost roughly? I believe if i take my car back to BMW it will easily cost $40 - 50k.

4. If I will work on the body kit, is it advisable to change the exhaust system too? And what would be the price range?

5. Final question - any reliable shops to recommend?

Many thanks for your advice.

I convert my f10 with genuine m kit. Order from parts shop then paint and install locally. Total cost around $25,000.

Exhaust is arqray quad tip with vorsteiner cf diffuser.

Yellowcow,

1. Morr VS8.2 is a great looking wheel. But I see more and more look alikes nowadays. So you will really want to customize the finish to stand out.

2. Depends on how your car is equipped and your personal preference. If your car has Adaptive Drive which included dynamic dampening, you won't be able to replace the shocks with aftermarket ones without loosing integrated adjustibility to your suspension. In this case, springs will be your only option. H&R/Eibachs lowers the car but retains a fairly stock like ride comfort. But IMHO, ACS springs is really what the car should have felt like from the start as it is firmer than stock but still rides fairly comfortably.

If your car has standard shocks, then you have a lot more choices, depending on how involved you want to be. A lot of bros has have modded with KWv3 and had good results. You can adjust heights, dampening and rebound separately. However, you will need a lot of time to experiment with different settings to your own liking........

3. You can do it outside of BMW. I had mine done by BMW because they owe me a favor The difference is the fit and finish. In the early days, when some brothers here compare their M-Sport package installed outside BMW, and my M-Sport installed at BMW, they often find slight fitment issues, especially in width of the gaps at seams. I don't know if the outside shops are better now. And I think BMW paints the M-sport kit with 7-layers, I am not sure about the other shops.......

4. Again, depends on what you wanted. Better sound? Looks? Decide on the exhaust first and you will need to get the correct defuser to fit the exhaust. Be warned. Most of the more aggressively sounding aftermarket exhaust are prone to drone. Your passengers may not like it......

I see a lot of Eisenmann and Meisterchaft exhausts and depending if you are only getting the axle-back or the full cat back, you are looking at costs of around HKD28k (axle-back) to HKD50K (full cat back, titan tips).

5. A lot of the bros here used Wah Kee on the Hong Kong side, and Zillion on Kowloon side......
