I still worry it is too big for my 528i.
Now,I think I cannot accept that the acceleration and brake performance worse than the 17"oem . Do you think F14 will be same as the 17'oem

Only way to find out is to have a meet up and to test drive RC3's car. He has the F14 and the exact same engine as yours.

Haha, you wish mlai.

Jxnco, please give us a review after you have done some mileage on your new wheels. You've been with your stock long enough to give us a review more justice. Hope I am not bias, I kept selling bros here to swap their springs and wheels.

Yup I will. My wife will be riding the first time this afternoon after I changed the springs and wheels. If she doesn't complain, that means the 20s with the non RFT's has the same comfort as the stock 17s with RFTs.

And then later going up the hill, I'll see if she tells me she wants to throw up.

I also had a few of my friends over last week to test drive my car. I'll have them try it again this weekend to let me know what they think.

Actually, I think the F14s are only around 1-2 lbs heavier then the morrs and the f14s barrel is thinner. So f14s are probably on par with the morrs in terms of weight.

Jxnco got the H&R too. Just like you and me.

Seems like you think the H&R is a bit low, really? You have scratching problem? Has yours settled? I wonder if you 535 will be lower than our 528 since your car is a touch heavier.

The stance is alright for me, I even want a bit lower.

No scratches yet! Just getting use to the new look! Happy with the ride and performance. Maybe getting too much influence from reading these posts and think my 19" look kind of puny!

Glad you like the H&R.

Sorry man. Hope we are not bad influence on the rims.

Go get real forged rims BMMW. Some 19" and 20" are under 20lb each. Ultra light.

17" and 18" look way too conservative. May be we can do a drag race. See if your stock can out run my 20", just kidding.
RC3 do you notice any difference with rim-change?

I agree. Maybe the 535 is a bit heavier than the 528? The rear ones seem to be fine for 535's and 550's. Definitely the engine weight.

BTW, my wife never noticed the change from 17" RFT to 20" non RFT. Even the springs. H&R's are very soft and bouncy. Almost like stock but just lower. Didn't experience any scraping underneath even with 1.5" lower. The tire size for F10 is 1 size bigger to begin with vs the E60. So I guess even with 1.5" drop, it's just equivalent to 0.5" lower vs the E60? I'm comparing the F10 with smaller cars with stock springs and seems like the F10 with H&R is still slightly higher.

As said, the 20" Forgestar definitely has more feel on the road. The low profile tires are noisier. I don't see much difference in terms of acceleration and braking compared to the stock RFT.

I drove a 535GT and I pushed it hard. Sure faster than the 528 but I like the noise of our NA engine better. The turbo engine is very subtle and smooth, may be too smooth to my taste.

I know you are faithful to your rims, fixed your scratches yet?
