It was kinda interesting. I'm telling you, some of those engineers are pretty obsessive! And that's the way I like them. Really cool to see they guy that designed these wonderful Multi-Contour Seats. Like many of the other designers, he has a PhD. The sound effects designer seemed pretty nutso as well. But in a good way.
And we got to see giant life-sized clay models of the F10 being designed. Pretty cool stuff. |

It was interesting that it was mentioned that BMW is not as durable as other brands when so much research, time and money and spent to design and create them. Was that an engineer that said that? Will need to watch it again. Good presentation of the car if you go pick it up yourself.

Also interesting to know that BMW was almost bought by Mercedes 40+ years ago. I will never forget riding in a 2002 ti in the early seventies and thinking that these guys are on to something!

And am I the only one who flinched when they heard the warning chime on the TV show? I recognized it from the last time my Check Control displayed a message, which was low pressure in one tire. (Glass shard thru the shoulder, but all 4 tires needed to be replaced. That was one expensive chime!)

Watching the MacBook Pro play the BMW warning chime was a little weird, that's for sure. It was the Consumer Reports guy that pointed out the BMW reliability issues. He never said "High Pressure Fuel Pump", but that's what I was thinking.
