I changed my mind based on the lengthy install process and the fact I don't have access to a lift to make it easier. Also I've researched the gains and I've found some don't get any hp (this was dyno proven with a dyno sheet and video)or a small gain of only 10hp with tuning. Plus I would need to have my car towed to an exhaust shop to connect my stock pipes to the m5 down pipes, all things considered I didn't feel it's worth it. If a tuning shop who makes DP's installed them and made a video proving the results i might consider it, but I've only seen shops put them on and they usually get no gains. Do a search and you will see too.

+1.. would only get upgraded downpipes if I upgrade the turbos.

Yes you are, I had more than 1 reason besides the install. Mainly it was the fact that they don't add any real gains, even the guy from the thread you linked said he didn't feel anything and his were catless. Not worth it even if it takes 5 minutes to install.
